My Approach and Philosophy:

Therapeutic Approach:

As a humanistic and integrative therapist, I am not bound by rigid theoretical frameworks. Instead, I work holistically—attuned to the emotional, psychological, and existential dimensions of my clients’ lives. My practice is rooted in the belief that meaning can be found within the complexities of everyday experience, and that therapy is a collaborative journey toward greater self-understanding and growth.
I hold a fundamental belief: no one is perfect, and we all need support at times. We are born with the innate capacity for both light and shadow, and within each of us lies the potential to evolve, heal, and become our fullest selves. I am committed to walking alongside you, facilitating movement toward personal growth and helping you access your inner resources.

The Therapeutic Relationship:

At the heart of my approach is the therapeutic relationship. I offer a warm, nurturing, and encouraging space—one that is experienced as safe, secure, and conducive to healing. I believe that connection is paramount, and that counselling is most effective when the relationship is experienced as trustworthy, non-judgmental, and emotionally attuned.
Areas of Focus
I work with a wide range of presenting issues, including:
-
Abuse and trauma
-
Bereavement and loss
-
Depression and anxiety
-
Identity and self-worth
-
Life transitions and relational challenges
In addition, I am deeply passionate about working with difference and diversity. As a person of colour, I bring my lived experience into the therapeutic space, offering insight and sensitivity to the realities faced by individuals who are 'Othered' in society. I strive to create a space where all aspects of identity are welcomed and honoured.
Embracing Difference
I recognise that people engage with the world in diverse and nuanced ways. There is no singular "right" way to think, feel, or behave. Difference is not a deficit—it is a reflection of the richness of human experience. Together, we will explore your unique perspective and make sense of your world as you experience it.
